Taking a Leap on Self Consciousness

Today was a great day for many reasons and i will try as much as possible to shorten the narrative.

For the first time in 7 years, i came out of retirement and played goal (goalkeeping/Football) for the team I ended my playing days and won the game 4-2. This was a cup game played against a team that was younger than my team by some considerable average. Now the psychology of any given time one finds oneself in, age and experience plays key roles in determining a favourable outcome. Image is another powerful tool in demonstrating these key roles and they are more but we will focus on these 3 roles. Having not done any goalkeeping training/practice,the last time I did any training/practice was a 7-a-side football game organised by my work colleagues, prior to this game and wining my first game I felt was significant for various seasons that I’m still continuing to appreciate. Just by my impressive performance today ( except for a silly free-kick I let in due to the fact I got my footwork wrong 😒 ), i proudly reward 75 % grade under the circumstances, including sustaining an injury, over stretching my lower abdominal muscles closest to the groin area.. Ouch. The game had a feeling to it, like it was set up to display what im capable of, which makes up the requirement of a Goalkeeper. Your image determines your ability and if ones image is strong enough, your talents begin to flow. Thats why age and experience becomes important. This team was a good young outfit ( they won the second division league and had joined us in the first ) but the game was won before it started, from a psychological point of view. As you do in any sort of battle, you size up the opposition, looking for weakness and most of the time the number one suspect is the number 1.. the Goalkeeper, be it amature or professional football. The opposition saw me and you could imagine the conversation floating around .. ” damn!.. “whos this black due with a black bandana tied to his head?”.. “what does he think this is? Kung-fu kick up?”.. “i bet he’s shit” …. 5 mins later after watching my warm up … ” HOLY CRAP!.. this is gonna be a long day trying to get past him!” And so it was. Although we took the lead they equalised through a silly right angled 25 yard freekick, and then took the lead again in the second half of the game. You could see to their delight when they equalised again after the referee cancelled two goals of our own prior to this but that just delayed the inevitable even though they had their fare share of chances to score. We were resilient for the cause and that reflected on the bravery of a number of our teammates who where succumbing to injuries one of our striker dislocated his ankle, popped it right back and score the spectacular fourth goal with that same foot 🤤🤤🤤. My injury came towards the end of regular time while I was scrambling to avoid a late corner kick which could have added unwanted pressure, which I did prevent, but at that cost. After the game i felt this powerful serge of energy and bellowed “I am the Ultimate Keeper”… a few players were baffled by that statement but here’s the moral to this story..

To be called an Ultimate Keeper, one must be a winner and by the evengelic words of KM Motors FC owner when he was in full delight about me coming out of retirement and playing for the club, ” we will win the league” has resonated in me and I truly believe that will come to past. I have studied the signs and speaking of signs, this is when the veil is uncovered when you are aware of taking a leap on Self Consciousness. The journey has just begun and repeated double digit numbers are appearing in my conscious awareness. I’ve been paying particular attention to the double digit 44. It could be trips 4s or quads 4s or 44. I was so intuned that suddenly an awareness awaked in me that I’m standing on a bus shelter waiting for the bus 144 to go home and I’ve just played in a game that finished 4-2 To the good…. 🤔🤔🤔 Superficial or Bust?Contact via Daily Prompt: Superficial facebook.com/ultimatekeeper
